The Courtesy Kids Corner is a styled children’s space created within your venue, thoughtfully designed to complement your wedding aesthetic while keeping little guests safely engaged and beautifully included.

The Courtesy Kids Corner includes:

• Neutral teepee tents with soft rugs and cushions

• Creative craft and colouring activities

• Duplo, Lego and construction play

• Train tracks, cars and magnetic tiles

• Sensory trays and small world play

• Books and a calm reading nook

• Board and jumbo games

• A calm rest space with bean bags for children who may need to wind down or fall asleep

• Baby bouncers (rest time quiet spot) for younger guests

• Age-appropriate equipment for younger guests if required

• Full set-up and pack-down

Wedding Nanny Packages

Ceremony Add-On | $220/hr | Overtime: $100/hr

Ceremony coverage includes:

Supervision during guest arrival and seating

Discreet support during vows and readings

Escorting unsettled children to a quiet space if required

Quiet, age-appropriate activities for the ceremony setting

Support with transitions from ceremony to reception

Additional time beyond the agreed finish time is charged at $100 per hour.

Overtime: $100/hr

$300 Refundable Security Bond

For bookings that include the Courtesy Kids Corner, a refundable $300 security bond is required. The bond will be returned within 5 business days following the event, provided all equipment is returned in good condition.

Mum of two little ones and step-mum to two amazing teens I know firsthand what it means to care for children while trying to be fully present in life’s biggest moments.

For over 10 years, I worked in a high-pressure corporate career in finance. But after becoming a mum, everything shifted. I understood just how much support families truly need, not just practical help, but calm, trusted care from someone who genuinely understands.

That’s how Courtesy Care began, built on empathy, reliability, and showing up for families in a way that feels effortless and supportive.

From there, The Wedding Nanny was created with a simple intention:

to allow couples and their guests to fully enjoy a wedding day, knowing their little ones are safe, settled, and beautifully cared for.

Today, our team of qualified educators and allied health professionals provide on-site care for children during weddings across Sydney. From quiet moments during the ceremony to creating calm, engaging spaces throughout the celebration, we’re there to support every part of the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do you cater for?

We care for children from 6 months through to 12 years. Our nannies are experienced with all age groups and tailor activities accordingly — from gentle sensory play for babies and toddlers to creative crafts and games for older children.

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend booking as early as possible — ideally 3 to 6 months before your wedding date. Peak wedding season (October–March) books out quickly. A 50% deposit secures your date.

Do parents need to stay with their children?

Not at all — that's the whole point! Our qualified nannies take full responsibility so parents can relax and enjoy the celebration. Parents are always welcome to pop in, and we'll come find them immediately if their child needs them.

What is the Courtesy Kids Corner?

Our signature Kids Corner is a beautifully styled activity space set up at your venue, designed to complement your wedding aesthetic. It includes age-appropriate crafts, sensory play, quiet activities, games, and colouring — all curated to keep children happily entertained for hours.

What happens if a child is upset or unwell?

All our nannies hold current First Aid and CPR certifications. If a child becomes upset, we use gentle, child-led techniques to comfort them. If a child is unwell or inconsolable, we will discreetly locate and inform the parents right away.

Do you provide food for the children?

We don't supply food, but we're happy to assist with serving and supervising mealtimes using food provided by your caterer or parents. Please let us know about any allergies or dietary requirements in advance.

Can you service weddings outside major cities?

Absolutely! We service weddings Australia-wide. For regional or remote venues, a travel surcharge may apply to cover transport and accommodation for our nanny team. We'll include this in your personalised quote.

What if the number of children changes after booking?

No problem - we understand RSVPs change! Just let us know at least 2 weeks before the wedding and we'll adjust staffing and activities accordingly. Additional children beyond your package can be accommodated at $50 per child.
